Elementary School Students Join All-City Track Meet

The local All City Track Meet recently united all the schools in South Pasadena, with four elementary schools competing: Monterey Hills, Marengo, Arroyo Vista and Holy Family.

SPMS coordinated the Snack Shack and SPHS led the track events. This was the first year the event was split over two days, with one day featuring field events and the other involving running events.

The bleachers were filled with families from all the schools who came out to cheer the students on.

“With growing participation numbers, we tried a two-day format for the first time and received great positive feedback,” said event co-chair Megan Gardener. “This year, we had 785 participants and over 300 volunteers. This event wouldn’t be possible without the help of all our volunteers.  We thank coach CB Richards and the SPHS Tigers track & field team for their time and dedication to this city-wide track meet.”
