Marengo Elementary School recently held its annual Super Science Night, which invited students and their families to learn about topics like data science, the superpowers of the microbes, where rainwater goes, the Mars Rover project and more. Organized by the Marengo PTA, parent scientists who work at USC, JPL, the Los Angeles Department of Public Works, and other local companies and institutions presented their work in 20-minute classroom sessions as the audience rotated through. Students were also able to participate in hands-on activities with representatives from the Theodore Payne Foundation, Caltech and other local organizations.
