South Pasadena Police Department Crime Report

A man allegedly fled the scene of a traffic stop near Huntington Drive and Fremont Avenue at about 3 a.m. on April 29. The driver led police to his residence before he pulled over and ran into the home. Police later arrested the suspect after making contact at the residence.

An unknown suspect burglarized a 2000 Nissan X-Terra, entering the vehicle and taking electronic equipment, in the 1400 block of Oak Avenue between 1:30 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. on April 11.

A vehicle theft was attempted in the 1400 block of Huntington Drive at 5 p.m. on April 23. The suspect allegedly smashed the window of the victim’s 2016 Hyundai Accent and tried to tamper with the ignition to start the vehicle. The suspect apparently failed to turn over the engine and gave up, police stated.

These alleged crimes and incidents were reported to the South Pasadena Police Department between Tuesday, April 23, and Monday, April 29. Information was gathered from a weekly crime summary published by SPPD’s Crime Prevention Unit.
