South Pasadena Softball Falls to Flintridge Prep in Extras

The South Pasadena High School varsity softball team lost 6-5 to visiting Flintridge Prep of La Cañada Flintridge in extra innings in a nonleague game on Feb. 15.
Natalie Kan, who had a base hit, two runs and two steals, pitched an eight-inning complete game. She struck out eight batters while allowing six runs (two earned) on eight hits and three walks.
Emma Becerra went 2-for-4 with three RBIs and one run, Danica Stirling went 2-for-4 and a had stolen base, and Ava Dawson recorded a double and a run. Talula Bearden tallied a base hit, while Lucia Atencio was credited with an RBI.
The Tigers (1-1 overall) will host Mark Keppel High of Alhambra for a nonleague game on Feb. 27 at 3:30 p.m. before visiting Providence High in Burbank on Feb. 29.
