Drawing inspiration from the upcoming Rose Parade, fifth graders at Arroyo Vista Elementary had the opportunity to chose a float-themed project, or create a state-themed project, in addition to a written paper.
Some of the float-themed options included crafted a float for the Rose Parade or a blue print, with other projects including designing a state stamp or PowerPoint presentation on the chosen state.
In a special tradition, members of the 2023 Rose Court visited the classrooms on Dec. 8 to hear some of the presentations and view the projects on display.
