The party was in full swing at this year’s South Pasadena Educational Foundation’s “Parti-Gras” with the theme, “Through the Looking Glass: Welcome to the Magic.”
The theme was an homage to one of the group’s last in-person event, a 5th grade musical production of Alice in Wonderland.
Throughout the evening, about 800 guests entered into the Arroyo Seco Golf Course’s “wonderland” through decorated portals, which opened up to a dance floor, food stations boasting fare from local restaurants, a silent auction area and a myriad of photo opportunities.
In addition, the event included raffle drawings and a paddle raise. With the in-person return of SPEF’s “Parti-Gras” event, the committee, chaired by Jean Zenas, welcomed many new parents and community members to one of South Pasadena’s largest events.
