The Review
There was a party-like atmosphere in the Monterey Hills Elementary multipurpose room as families arrived for Back-to-School Night on Aug. 31.
Parents enjoyed light refreshments provided by the PTA as they caught up with friends and chatted with a few of the teachers in attendance. Principal Jessica Zavala gave attendees a warm welcome and made a few remarks following the gathering.
Families also had the opportunity to donate to the Wish Night fundraiser that aims to bridge the gap between program needs and state funding.
Parents toured their students’ classrooms and met with their teachers, who provided an outline for the academic year.
