South Pasadena Police Department Crime Report

Police responded to a residential burglary this week in the 400 block of Monterey Road at 12:21 a.m. on April 10. A man allegedly entered an unlocked vehicle at the address and entered the residence, where he attempted to steal mail. The homeowner, after being alerted to the suspect’s presence, chased the man throughout the house. The homeowner was able to detain the suspect until police arrived.

A commercial burglary was reported at a business in the 800 block of Fremont Avenue at 10 p.m. on April 12, when a suspect smashed a window leading into the business and ransacked the interior. The suspect fled the scene before police arrived.

A South Pasadena man was arrested after he allegedly threw objects at a victim’s vehicle in the area of Mission Street and Fair Oaks Avenue at 7:38 p.m. on April 12.

These alleged crimes and incidents were reported to the South Pasadena Police Department between Tuesday, April 9, and Monday, April 15. Information was gathered from a weekly crime summary published by SPPD’s Crime Prevention Unit.
