South Pasadena Police Arrest 4 at Stop

South Pasadena Police Department officers arrested three adults and one juvenile on suspicion of possessing stolen property after a vehicle traffic stop near Monterey Road and Marengo Avenue last week.
On March 12, officers pulled over a vehicle for expired registration tags. While speaking with the vehicle’s occupants, two men aged 31 and 21, a 20-year-old woman and a 14-year-old juvenile, officers were able to see gloves, masks and several tools commonly used to break into vehicles in plain view.
Upon further investigation, officers found stolen property recently taken during a vehicle burglary in Sierra Madre. All of the occupants, who are residents of Los Angeles, were arrested and booked at Alhambra City Jail for possessing stolen property, burglary tools and conspiracy.
Due to the countywide Zero Bail Policy in effect, the suspects were released after booking. The SPPD is encouraging anyone with information about the incident to call the Police Department at (626) 403-7297. To provide an anonymous tip, call “Crime Stoppers” at (800) 222-TIPS (8477).
