Badge-Pinning Honors South Pasadena Police Personnel

Two members of the South Pasadena Police Department were recently honored at a joint badge-pinning ceremony alongside the city’s Fire Department.
Deputy Chief Merrill Ladenheim and officer Frank Litterini were recognized for their service.
Ladenheim comes to SPPD with more than 30 years of experience with the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department. He held several command positions, including at the Lakewood Patrol Station, the Major Crimes Bureau and the Human Trafficking Task Force. His son, Joshua Ladenheim, was also sworn in as an honorary police cadet during the ceremony.
Litterini was previously with the department for nearly three decades before retiring in 2015. He worked as a Burbank Airport police officer for several years before returning to South Pasadena.
“We are very fortunate to have both Deputy Chief Ladenheim and officer Litterini,” said the department in a social media post. “We look forward to learning from their experience and leadership.”
