South Pasadena High School’s Tiger newspaper has received a Gold Medal award from the prestigious Columbia Scholastic Press Association for issues published throughout the 2022-23 school year.
This honor is awarded to the Tiger staff by Columbia University and a panel of judges (advisers, journalists and other industry professionals) who evaluate each entry, looking for exceptional qualities in writing and editing, design and presentation, coverage, photography and social media presence.
Tiger staff received a detailed critique showing the scoring in 186 individual categories to help improve the publication in future years.
