Marengo Elementary School families gathered June 4 to experience the fifth-grade promotion ceremony, joining school board President Karissa Adams and school mascot Mango for the celebrations.
Guests were treated to a band performance as well as a ukulele performance prior to the ceremony. Before the ceremony, guests enjoyed performances by the school band and a ukulele group. The fifth-grade students sang several songs during the promotion event, including one about moving to middle school.
After the ceremony, the students celebrated with a pizza party and a pool party at the high school.
