The Woman’s Club of South Pasadena, the city’s oldest club, each year selects high school students to receive one or more scholarships.
The standards for selection include individual excellence and a commitment to supporting girls and women.
This year the Woman’s Club is honoring six high school seniors: Simone Assaf, Ella Chuang, Jamie Rain Kim, Mia Ramos, Milla Sanchez Regalado and Katherine Tam.
The club has a rich history dating to 1899. It was started by women who were not content to sit at home, but who wanted to help change their community and the world.
