Softball: South Pas Falls to Monrovia in Extras

The South Pasadena High School varsity softball team suffered an 8-5 extra-inning loss to visiting Monrovia in a Rio Hondo League game on April 9.
Natalie Kan, who had a hit and a run at the plate, pitched an eight-inning complete game with two strikeouts.
Leila Nolasco went 2-for-4 with a double and a run, while Daphne Malatesta finished with a double. Lucia Atencio recorded a hit and two runs, while Talula Bearden and Ava Dawson each tallied a base hit. Danica Stirling walked once and scored a run, while Emma Becerra walked once.
The Tigers (7-10 overall, 3-4 in league) will visit Azusa for a nonleague game on April 15 at 3:30 p.m. before hosting La Cañada High on April 19.
