Boys’ Tennis: South Pas Drops Nonleague Tilt Against Burbank

The South Pasadena High School varsity boys’ tennis team lost at Burbank High 12-6 in a nonleague match on April 9.
The No. 1 doubles team of Christopher Wong and Max Slattery won a pair of sets with scores of 6-2 and 6-3. The No. 2 tandem of Emett Mendel and Sebastian Thompson won a set with a 6-3 score, while the No. 3 duo of Jean-Luc Andre and Dylan West added a 6-4 victory. In singles play, No. 1 Aidan Liu (6-3) and No. 3 Emilio Lois (6-4) each won a set.
The Tigers (9-2 overall, 4-1 in league) will visit Crossroads High in Santa Monica for a nonleague match on April 17 at 2:30 p.m. before hosting La Cañada High on April 19.
