Softball: South Pas Drops League Matchup Against La Cañada

The South Pasadena High School varsity softball team lost at La Cañada 2-0 in a Rio Hondo League game on March 26.
Natalie Kan pitched six innings with three strikeouts, while Danica Stirling and Emma Becerra each walked once.
The Tigers suffered a narrow 9-8 nonleague loss against visiting Mayfield Senior on March 21.
Lucia Atencio, who had a hit and an RBI at the plate, pitched four innings with four strikeouts, while Kan, who walked once and scored a run, pitched three innings with three strikeouts. Talula Bearden recorded a double, an RBI and a run, Leila Nolasco finished with a double and a run, and Juliana Mostert contributed a hit and two RBIs. Sydney Lee was credited with a walk, an RBI, a run and a stolen base, while Stirling walked once and scored a run. Ava Dawson, Adelaide Bertolina and Becerra each scored a run, while Caitlyn Colmenares walked once.
SPHS (6-8 overall, 2-4 in league) will visit San Marino for a league game on March 29 at 3:30 p.m. before hosting Monrovia on April 9.
