South Pasadena Middle School’s variety show, “The Follies,” hits the stage for its 18th year on March 9.
This year, 45 participants performed 14 acts, which included short comedy sketches, musical bands and dance performances, as well as video-recorded commercial breaks filmed by students.
More than 300 tickets were sold for this year’s fundraiser, which is put on by SPMS parents and teachers. The event raised funds for the SPMS wellness center and mental health programing.
Most of the audience arrived early for the additional pizza fundraiser dinner before heading in for the show.
