Reader ‘Happy’ for Ocon’s Success

Regarding the feature on football player Phillip Ocon that ran on Feb. 23] I was privileged to be Phillip’s, and his sister Olivia’s, school nurse at Holy Family School. We had wonderful families, but the Ocons were among the best. Phillip was bigger than the other boys in his class, but he was always gentle and patient with those who were smaller. It was obvious that his parents had impressed upon him the need to be aware of his greater size and strength.
Phillip always tried to do his best, and he was a joy to be around. I am so happy, but not at all surprised, at his success. Colorado State University is lucky to have him both as a student and a football player.
