South Pasadena Unified School District Recognizes Fox With Golden Apple Award

The South Pasadena Unified School District this week congratulated Rachel Fox, who recently received the Association of California School Administrator’s Golden Apple Award for Volunteerism.
During a special awards ceremony on Tuesday, Superintendent Geoff Yantz acknowledged Fox’s more than 15 years of service to the district. Fox served as an elementary school room parent for 12 years, as well as the South Pasadena Middle School Booster Club president and the South Pasadena High School PTSA president. Fox also served six years as a member of the South Pasadena Educational Foundation Board of Directors.
Fox led many PTA programs at the elementary, middle and high school levels. She contributed to various sports, drama and extracurricular activities for students, and received an Honorary Service Award for her work at Arroyo Vista Elementary School.
“With an energetic personality and smile, Rachel Fox actively seeks out opportunities to support SPUSD students, teachers and staff, and has devoted countless hours of support and volunteer service to the South Pasadena Unified School District,” the district said in a statement. “We appreciate you!”
