South Pasadena Police Arrest Man in Connection With Commercial Burglary

The South Pasadena Police Department said an officer was conducting a routine business check in the alley of the 1100 block of Fair Oaks Avenue on Feb. 4 at about 2 a.m. when a suspicious individual was seen loitering near the rear door of the closed business.
Officers checked the business and found evidence of a burglary. Further investigation revealed that the subject was in possession of property belonging to the business. The property was recovered and returned to the business owner, the SPPD said in a statement.
The suspect, a 35-year-old man from El Monte, was arrested for commercial burglary, in addition to an outstanding felony burglary warrant out of Orange County. The suspect was booked and was being held at the Inmate Reception Center in Los Angeles.
Anyone with additional information about this incident is urged to call the SPPD at (626) 403-7265. To report an anonymous tip, call Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-TIPS (8477).
