The South Pasadena High School varsity girls’ water polo team routed host San Marino 23-4 in its return to Rio Hondo League play on Jan. 9 as junior Sabine Ornelas, sophomore Ellen Leung, freshman Ruby Meyer and freshman Hayun Lee each scored three goals.
Junior Cleo Walker, sophomore Milla Humphrey and sophomore Cora Bild each chipped in two goals, while junior Lana Encinas, junior Reese Buckley, junior Francesca Moura, sophomore Amaya Mahler and sophomore Riis Dickey each finished with one goal.
The Tigers (10-4 overall, 3-0 in league) will host St. Lucy’s Priory High School of Glendora for a nonleague game on Jan. 12 at 4 p.m. before hosting La Cañada on Jan. 16.
