SPHS Students Prep Mentees for Marketplace

South Pasadena High School’s Varsity Virtual Enterprise students worked with Arroyo Vista Elementary School students on Oct. 26 to educate and mentor them on entrepreneurship in preparation for the upcoming AV Marketplace.
This is the eighth year that the Varsity Virtual Enterprise team has collaborated with Arroyo Vista for its annual event.
On the elementary campus, high schoolers discussed topics including idea generation, marketing, operations, sales, corporate social responsibility and how to finance their own business.
Led by SPHS CTE teacher Cathy Mason, Varsity Virtual Enterprise students have also presented two workshops: one in person and one on Zoom to the elementary students and their parents. The workshops encourage the elementary students to participate in the annual AV Marketplace, which will be held on Dec. 9.
