Cub Scouts Pack 139 hosted its traditional Halloween Carnival on Oct. 27 at Monterey Hills Elementary.
Principal Jessica Zavala, Assistant Principal Mike Mora and SPUSD nurse Kevin Bautista were in attendance to join the hundreds of students and parents gathered for a fun day of food, refreshments and socializing.
In its early years, the school served a smaller student population built for approximately 450 students. Beginning in 2011, Monterey Hills Elementary saw a steady increase of students, with the number at about 675 children today. The school serves TK through fifth graders with about four classrooms per grade.
