South Pasadena Police Department Crime Report

A residential burglary was reported in the 1200 block of Milan Avenue between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Oct 15. According to police, suspects forced open a rear door to gain entry to the home, before ransacking the place, stealing jewelry, bags and watches.

Suspects smashed the front glass door to gain entry to a cosmetic business in the 1100 block of Monterey Road at 12:50 p.m. on Oct 15. Facial products were taken before a security alarm went off, causing the suspects to flee the business.

Police arrested a man who led police on a vehicle pursuit after being pulled over for numerous traffic violations at 9 p.m. on Oct. 22. During the chase, the man attempted to ram into a police vehicle and later drove to his residence, where he entered the home near Meridian Boulevard and Kendall Street and refused to exit. He was eventually arrested.

A man was arrested on assault charges after he entered a Krispy Kreme in the 700 Block of Fair Oaks Boulevard and allegedly assaulted a store employee at about 9:30 a.m. on Oct 22.

These alleged crimes and incidents were reported to the South Pasadena Police Department between Tuesday, Oct. 17, and Monday, Oct. 23. Information was gathered from a weekly crime summary published by SPPD’s Crime Prevention Unit.
