South Pasadena Police Department Crime Report

A commercial burglary was reported at a T-Mobile store in the 1300 block of Huntington at 2:15 p.m. on Sept. 24. Two men allegedly entered the store and walked directly to the display counter before using burglary tools to cut the security wires off Apple cellphones and watches. The suspects allegedly walked out of the store with the merchandise and are still at large.

A Coffee Bean restaurant in the 700 block of Fair Oaks was vandalized between 9:30 p.m. on Sept. 19 and 5:55 a.m. on Sept. 20 in an attempted burglary in which the suspect smashed a glass window and attempted to gain entry to a cash register at an unknown time. The subject failed in opening the cash register and fled.

Officers responded to a subject in the 1300 block of Huntington Drive after receiving calls that he was swinging a metal pipe at residents at 7:28 p.m. on Sept. 19. Officers approached the suspect who was allegedly found to be in possession of a controlled substance.

These alleged crimes and incidents were reported to the South Pasadena Police Department between Tuesday, Sept. 19, and Monday, Sept. 25. Information was gathered from a weekly crime summary published by SPPD’s Crime Prevention Unit.
