After a couple of years of vacancy and falling into disrepair, the South Pasadena Batting Cages received a grand opening from the city on April 3.
Owner Arthur Becerra entered into a 10-year lease with South Pasadena to operate the facility, which is located at 660 Stoney Drive, next to the South Pawsadena Dog Park and Arroyo Seco Golf Course. Under the new ownership, the renovated batting cages include pitch areas for both baseball and softball, as well as a turf infield practice area.
Players have the opportunity to set up practice times with private coaches, and purchase refreshments from the on-site snack bar.
South Pasadena Little League is excited to resume batting practice at the nearby facility rather than commute to surrounding communities. The South Pasadena Batting Cages will be a hub of activity as the 2024 baseball and softball seasons heat-up.
