South Pasadena Officials Seek Input on Fiscal Budget

South Pasadena officials are encouraging residents to submit feedback for the city’s fiscal budget through a community survey.
The budget process is based upon in-depth analysis of actual and projected fund balances, revenues and expenditures. Each city department prepares line-item details for their activities and recommends certain service levels and activity goals for the fiscal year.
The finance department prepares revenue projections with input from other departments.
The city manager then reviews individual department requests, prioritizes activities based on city policy and makes certain adjustments.
At the conclusion of the process, the proposed budget is prepared and presented for a public hearing and then submitted to the City Council for final review and adoption.
The budget survey will be open until May 14 at 6 p.m. at the provided link: docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfKSk3I_dLR1ho5fvY7RHC437kwDsocZ7QLybCWUvGOMBFRxg/viewform.
