The Review
Orange Grove Park was the destination for the many families who came to enjoy the festivities at the Marengo Elementary’s Lunar New Year Celebration on Feb. 25.
The event featured a great line up of entertainment throughout the day, including the traditional lion dance performance, USC Tae Kwon Do demonstrations, mask-changing dances, and special guest performer Katherine Ho.
Children at the celebration enjoyed the various game and art booths, many of which were organized by families involved with the Marengo Dual Immersion Program. To add to the fun, Athens Services provided a giant bouncy truck and guests were able to preorder lunch from Phoenix.
The youngsters were especially excited about the prizes provided by title sponsor Smoko, which were given out once participants completed the Great Race Trail activity, an annual tradition.
