The South Pasadena High School varsity girls’ water polo team lost to visiting Etiwanda in sudden death overtime 7-6 in its CIF Southern Section Division III opener on Feb. 6.
Freshmen Hayun Lee and Ruby Meyer each chipped in two goals, while sophomores Cora Bild and Amaya Mahler each scored one goal.
The Tigers were shut out at La Cañada 10-0 in their regular season and Rio Hondo League finale on Feb. 1.
South Pasadena finished the campaign third in league with a 6-4 record (14-11 overall).
