The South Pasadena High School varsity girls’ water polo team lost to visiting La Cañada 10-5 in a Rio Hondo League game on Jan. 16.
Junior Lana Encinas chipped in a pair of goals, while junior Reese Buckley, sophomore Cora Bild and freshman Ruby Meyer each scored one goal.
The Tigers defeated visiting St. Lucy’s High of Glendora 9-5 in a nonleague game on Jan. 12.
Freshman Hayun Lee recorded four goals, Meyer finished with three goals and Bild tallied two goals.
The Tigers (11-6 overall, 3-2 in league) will visit Monrovia for a league game on Jan. 23 before hosting San Marino on Jan. 25.
