South Pasadena Police Department Crime Report

An assault was reported near Mission Street and Meridian Avenue at 2 a.m. on Dec. 24. Officers located a suspect, who was allegedly intoxicated and unable to care for himself. The officers arrested the man, who was in possession of a fake driver’s license.

Two suspects allegedly approached a vehicle in the 700 block of Mission Street at 4:15 p.m. on Dec. 20 with the intent of scamming the driver. The suspects allegedly told the driver that her tires were flat and attempted to open her car door. According to the victim, after repeated attempts to deny the suspects, the two eventually entered her vehicle and stole unspecified items.


A vandalism case was reported in the area of Fair Oaks Avenue and Spruce Street at 4 p.m. on Dec. 22. Police reported that a suspect and victim engaged in a road rage incident that resulted in the suspect allegedly kicking in the victim’s vehicle door, causing a dent.

A vandalized extension cord was reported in the 600 block of Forest Avenue between Dec. 9 at 9 p.m. and Dec. 10 at 8 a.m. At least one suspect cut through the cord.

These alleged crimes and incidents were reported to the South Pasadena Police Department between Tuesday, Dec. 19, and Monday, Dec. 25. Information was gathered from a weekly crime summary published by SPPD’s Crime Prevention Unit.
