SPHS Cruises to League Win Over Monrovia

The South Pasadena High School varsity girls’ water polo team posted a 14-5 Rio Hondo League victory over visiting Monrovia on Dec. 14.
Freshman Ruby Meyer recorded five goals, while sophomore Amaya Mahler scored three goals. Junior Reese Buckley and freshman Hayun Lee each chipped in two goals, while senior Liz Petty and sophomore Cora Bild each tallied one goal.
The Tigers (9-4 overall, 2-0 in league) will visit San Marino for a league game on Jan. 9 at 4 p.m. before visiting Temple City on Jan. 11.
