Arroyo Vista, Marengo and Monterey Hills elementary schools hosted back-to-back fifth grade band concerts on Dec. 11 in the South Pasadena Middle School Auditorium.
Arroyo Vista welcomed friends and family first, followed by Marengo and Monterey Hills. Each group of students involved in band — 60 students from Arroyo Vista, 80 students from Marengo and 80 students from Monterey Hills — warmed up together before performing.
Band director Trey Farrell, who teaches all fifth grade students as well as students at the middle school, was proud of the progress the students have made over the fall semester.
