South Pasadena Police Department Crime Report

A 58-year-old Los Angeles man approached a victim at a bus stop, grabbed grocery bags out of their hands and threw the bags into the street in the 1700 block of Garfield Avenue on Dec. 5 around 11 a.m. Afterward, the man struck the victim in the head with a mini scooter and then boarded a bus, leaving the scene. The suspect was eventually arrested.


At least one suspect gained access to a victim’s airline mileage account and used mileage points to purchase an airline ticket on Dec. 4.

A vandalized extension cord was reported in the 600 block of Forest Avenue between Dec. 9 at 9 p.m. and Dec. 10 at 8 a.m. At least one suspect cut through the cord.

These alleged crimes and incidents were reported to the South Pasadena Police Department between Tuesday, Dec. 5, and Monday, Dec. 11. Information was gathered from a weekly crime summary published by SPPD’s Crime Prevention Unit.
