Holiday Happenings Around South Pasadena

Here is my second annual unofficial list of holiday happenings in South Pasadena through the new year. It will be updated every week. If you want to add a group or church event, send an email to attention Andy Lippman at editor@southpasadenareview.com.
I’d suggest going to the appropriate website to check on dates and times of the religious services of your choice.

Dec. 9: Breakfast with Santa, War Memorial Building, 9 a.m.-11 a.m. $24 per ticket, children under 2 admitted free. For ticket information go to southpasadenaca.gov.events.

Dec. 9: Holy Family Catholic Church, Advent Concert and singalong; 6-7:30 p.m.

Dec. 10: Chabad of South Pasadena’s Chanukah Party, 4 p.m., 721 Fair Oaks Ave., behind building; free, live klezmer band; menorah lighting; doughnuts and latkes; giant moon bounce.

Dec. 10: St. James Episcopal Church Living Nativity, 4:30 p.m., Anglican lessons and carols, with church choir and organ, 6 p.m., 1325 Monterey Road.

Dec. 26-30: South Pasadena Tournament of Roses float decoration “Deco Week.” For more information go to sptor.org/deco.

Dec. 29: South Pasadena Tournament of Roses Crunch Time Party and Dinner, War Memorial Building, 6-10 p.m. Individual tickets $75. Catered dinner and silent auction. For more information, contact Ellen Torres at etphonhom@aol.com.
