Tse, Boozer Lead South Pasadena to First Win

The South Pasadena High School varsity girls’ basketball team won their season opener against Rolling Hills Prep of San Pedro 57-49 in the first game of the Valley Christian Tournament on Nov. 27.
Senior captain Dylan Tse registered 18 points, while junior Kayla Boozer tallied 15 points. Senior captain Jamie Rain Kim scored a pair of 3-pointers, sophomore Madeline Park contributed five points and junior Mia Leach chipped in four points. Junior Katie Chung drained a 3-pointer, while senior Ava Chang and sophomore Brylee Woo each finished with two points.
Following the conclusion of the Valley Christian Tournament on Dec. 2, the Tigers (1-0 overall) will compete in the Providence Tournament beginning Dec. 4 and concluding Dec. 9, before visiting Village Christian in Sun Valley on
Dec. 12.
