Police Arrest Vehicle Theft Suspect

A 30-year-old Compton resident was arrested for allegedly stealing a 2002 white GMC pickup truck, which was found through an alert from South Pasadena Police Department’s Automated License Plate Reader system on Nov. 13 at 12:51 p.m.
Officers found the GMC near Monterey Road and Fair Oaks Avenue with the suspect behind the wheel and verified that the vehicle was stolen after conducting a traffic stop. The man, who has an extensive felony arrest record for vehicle theft, was taken into custody without incident and was found to be on probation for burglary. He was booked at the Alhambra City Jail and appeared in court on Nov. 15.
