Assemblyman Mike Fong has presented the inaugural Outstanding Educator Awards to two teachers from South Pasadena Unified School District.
April Chang, second grade Mandarin Dual Immersion teacher, and Linda Park, second grade Mandarin Dual Immersion English teacher, who were nominated for the award by Marengo Elementary School parents, received the award on Aug. 10. The honor recognizes educators from the 49th Assembly District who have displayed dedication, passion and tireless efforts to empower and inspire the next generation of leaders.
“Thank you for going above and beyond every day and making a difference in students’ lives,” the SPUSD said in a statement.’
