South Pasadena Middle School students performed a musical medley of songs from classic Broadway shows, including “Spamalot” and “Annie” last Saturday.
It was the first show since 2019, after COVID-19 health restrictions effectively shut down all indoor entertainment. The 2020 production of “Oklahoma” was cancelled just weeks before opening night. Due to these hardships, the creators and directors focused on a theme of “rediscovery and community” through a musical revue.
Cast, crew and the audience were thrilled to have students back on the stage for live musical theater.
