The schedule for Thursday’s 40th Anniversary Festival of Balloons and events for the Fourth of July in South Pasadena is as follows:
• 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. — Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast at South Pasadena Fire Station on 817 Mound Ave.
• 10:30 a.m. — Opening Ceremony held at South Pasadena Public Library Community Room on 1115 El Centro St.
• 11 a.m. — Parade begins and travels down Mission Street from Diamond Avenue to Garfield Park.
• 12:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. — Party in the Park at Garfield Park on 1000 Park Ave. The event features food vendors, live DJs, inflatables and games.
• 9 p.m. — Live concert and fireworks show held at South Pasadena High School stadium on 1401 Fremont Ave. Concert features The Kings of 88 and a fireworks show.
Fireworks tickets are $15 per person and can be purchased at southpasadenaca.gov/events. Children 2 and under are free.
