South Pasadena Police Department Crime Report

A residential burglary was reported in the 100 block of Monterey Road at 1:20 p.m. on May 24. The man suspected of the crime backed into victim’s parking spot, opened the victim’s unlocked storage locker and took golf clubs and camping equipment. The suspect is described as 40-year-old man with gray-black hair, a beard and mustache, and wearing a gray jacket with a hood. His vehicle is described as a white BMW that had a piece of paper covering the license plates.

Between May 17 and May 22, a victim reached out to a suspect on social media to purchase a dog. After the victim made the payment, the suspect stopped communicating with the victim.

A suspect took a victim’s unattended DVD movies at Shakers Restaurant, located in the 600 block of Fair Oaks Avenue, between 4:30 p.m. and 4:40 p.m. on May 22.

The victim’s ex-wife entered a residence in the 800 block of Meridian Avenue at 11:30 a.m. on May 23. Coins and a watch were reported missing from the property.

Registration tabs were taken from a 2007 Toyota Sienna in the 500 block of Orange Grove Avenue between 12:54 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. on May 27.

These alleged crimes and incidents were reported to the South Pasadena Police Department between Tuesday, May 21, and Monday, May 27. Information was gathered from a weekly crime summary published by SPPD’s Crime Prevention Unit.
