South Pasadena Police Department Crime Report

A man was arrested for assaulting a police officer near Fair Oaks Boulevard and Grevelia Avenue at 2:34 a.m. on Nov. 7. According to reports, the suspect was walking on the street and officers attempted to stop him for a traffic violation. The man fled from officers and allegedly attempted to hit and bite them during the altercation.

A vehicle theft occurred in the 1400 block of Oak Crest at about 4 a.m. on Nov. 8. An unknown suspect entered a victim’s unlocked vehicle and stole laptops, a backpack, a jacket, miscellaneous tools and the vehicle’s registration documents.

Police recovered three stolen vehicles between Nov. 7-11 and Nov.13. Each vehicle was located via police safety cameras, which automatically detected license plates of each of the vehicles and notified law enforcement.

These alleged crimes and incidents were reported to the South Pasadena Police Department between Tuesday, Nov. 7, and Monday, Nov. 13. Information was gathered from a weekly crime summary published by SPPD’s Crime Prevention Unit.
