Monterey Hills Elementary School has a 5th grade tradition, where the class bestows a gift to the school in honor of their upcoming graduation. This year, the Class of 2023, through the efforts of Jeff and Stacey Nishi, were able to obtain a corporate sponsor, JOOLA, who donated a pickleball net and paddles to the school. The gift presentation also coincided with the rest day of Teacher Appreciation Week, which included another tradition — decorating each teacher’s door to express thanks for their continued dedication to nurturing the academic growth of the students.
